This class was a class I am very happy I took, despite it being harder then I thought. When we first got the cameras out I was excited. I never really just went out on my free time to take pictures of anything or everything. This class encouraged me to go outside and take pictures of things I wouldn't necessarily take pictures, such as a rake. During one of the photo shoots I was shooting for black and white. I took a rake from the garage and placed it against the side of my house, knowing I was going to shoot black and white, I was able to make the rake have more character than it normally would if it were in color. Going into a photo shoot knowing what I was shooting for helped me take certain pictures and think more of how I'm going to use the picture.
Throughout the class I had a hard time remembering certain steps when working in photoshop. Sometimes I would get frustrated and Mr. Bush knows that I had a hard time doing so. Understanding the computer played a major role in digital photography even when you wouldn't think it does. I was taught how to use several different severs such as, Photoshop, Adobe Bridge and basic websites. I enjoyed being able to edit certain photos to make them look much better than they originally looked. Before this class the only editing I was familiar with was, unfortunately, Instagram. Being able to use high tech editing tools made me feel more comfortable taking pictures and allowed me to experience with photos. My favorite photo I was able to edit was one of my light pictures. This picture is a lighted tree and it looks like the tree is shinning on the ground. Based on how bright the ground was it looks like the tree is brighter than it really is. I was able to edit out light that was originally in the photo so the tree was the only thing in the photo. Overall I am happy I took this class even though it challenged my computer skills.

These are three of the pictures I took throughout the class. On the far left is a picture of a cat that I took during the first photo shoot. The second picture is one of several pictures I took during my third photo shoot. The third picture is my favorite picture I took during this class.
